This somewhat oddly shaped bowl reminds me of an octopus, with tentacle's spread-out. But it can easily be seen as a root base as well. Two stainless steel knobs are attached to one of the root extensions, providing a counterbalancing function with the opposite root extension, which is slightly suspended. If you envision these as being eyes, a myriad of critter subjects come to mind.
